A big reunion for Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff in Black Widow Teaser

Natasha Romanoff to return to clear up her dark past’s mess in the new trailer. The movie will release on April 30, 2020 in six languages in India.

The world was joyed to get the first trailer for Marvel’s Black Widow that would see Scarlett Johansson play her character Natasha Romanoff. Set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, the film could be the actor’s last appearance on the big screen with the major phasing out of characters and the death of her character. The two-minute teaser revolved around Natasha Romanoff’s dark past before she commits to the ultimate sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame for the Soul Stone’s retrieval. The story revolves around the house “where it all began” for her and has a huge reunion with former members of the Black Widow programme. Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz and Stranger Things star David Harbour are cast in the film as Yelena Belova (her ‘sister’), Melina Vostokoff and Red Guardian respectively.

It appears that the story of the film to be released could have some differences from the Marvel comic-verse. In the comics, Red Guardian is married to Natasha Romanoff while Melina is the supervillain Iron Maiden. When Melina and Yelena meet Natasha, they appear to have a big Black Widow-off in the teaser that subsequently could work off the emotional baggage. William Hurt is meant to reprise his role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross with Marvel’s de-ageing vfx methods being used proving that he’s most likely to be present in the past scenes.

The teaser also has scenes from Budapest and could finally reveal what happened between Natasha Romanoff and Agent Clint Barton aka Hawkeye at Budapest in the past. The film also reveals a possible major villain in the form of Taskmaster whose casting is yet to be revealed.

The Taskmaster is a villain who has the special ability of learning his opponents techniques in real-time and then using it on them. He was seen holding a Compound Recurve bow that looks a lot like he had previously fought Hawkeye. The trailer also features Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) in the flashback sequences.

Scarlett Johansson’s character Black Widow made her first appearance in Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man 2 as a S.H.I.E.L.D. spy. Earlier this year, Marvel Comics Universe announced the Black Widow film along with a set of films and television shows, including new outings for popular characters such as Thor, Doctor Strange and Loki.

Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow is slated to release in India on April 30, 2020 in six languages – English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
